MY BASEBALL BIO

My name is Mike Nellis, 17 y/o. I’m the guy who manages and writes for this blog.
I’ve been a dedicated fan of baseball in Ottawa for about 7 years now. Before then, I was too young to even realize that a baseball team was occupying “that big stadium with the blue seats”.
I developed a following for the Ottawa Lynx at the worst possible time; in 2007. The next year, the Lynx would move away to Allentown, PA and Ottawa became the home of the Independent Can-Am league’s Ottawa Rapidz. I hopped on that bandwagon as well and went to many games during the only season they were around.
When the Rapidz were in Ottawa, there were fan forums and blogs around the web that I enjoyed reading and it appeared that many others enjoyed reading them as well. I noticed that when the Fat Cats came to town, all those blogs disappeared. I was disappointed, and I assumed that many others who are looking for some Ottawa baseball reading material were pretty disappointed as well.
I figured that I may as well give blogging a shot myself and with that idea, I started the Litter Box.
Now, here we are today with this blog in its 4th year, and I’d say that it has been an overwhelming success so far.
